Design guidelines

General

CrowdControl promotes co-creation, collaboration and community ownership. This is also reflected in the visual design of our game. As a player you can be part of the game development community and bring your own contributions to the game. We analyzed the design process to determine which elements could be decentralized and implemented practical solutions based on our findings.

At CrowdControl you can create your own game visuals, including Game Board, Cardframes, and Artworks, to shape the visual look and feel of the game. The modularity of our design pipeline allows easy and automated implementation of your designs. This also lets us easily bring our game into the metaverse, so other brands can add their content without hassle. Next, we'll see how it works. Let’s see in the following how this would look practically.

Blueprint Design

In a gaming environment where content is generated not just by a single entity but also through community contributions, things can get chaotic very easily. For the visual design this would mean visual chaos: poor visuals can lead to confusion and amateur-looking graphics, which can ultimately harm the overall gaming experience. That's why we require design guidelines and best practices to guarantee our material is excellent for the community. The guidelines are there to help the creators in our community produce coherent, high-quality designs.

Blueprint Design is a term that we created to describe the process of decentralized design, which follows the 6 stages of the design thinking process. Our goal with Blueprint Design is to structure the visual design process in a clear and understandable way. We provide information and design guidelines to make it easy for community members to create, evaluate, and implement their designs into the official game. As of this moment, our pipeline allows for the community to create visuals for in-game cards (Card Artwork, Card Frame, Card Back) and the Game Board. We'll delve into the technical aspects, references for each design module, and provide examples of best practices.
